Today was a difficult one for the Chargebee team. We went through a restructuring exercise of the organization that impacted approximately 10% of our workforce. Chargebee’s management is grateful for the long-term contributions of those who were impacted, without whom Chargebee would not be the company that we are today.
To position Chargebee for its next phase of efficient growth, and with the technology and market shifts underway across the industry, it is critical that we set up the organization to focus on fewer priorities, with a greater emphasis on our customers’ experience and our core products.
Many talented team members have been impacted by today’s restructuring of the organization. If you are currently hiring, please request introductions by contacting and we would be happy to pass on your contact details to the impacted team members.
As mentioned above this is not the first time that Chargebee has fired employees. In November 2022, the startup was forced to release approximately 142 employees, which accounted for roughly 10% of its workforce, as a result of unfavourable economic conditions.
Established in 2011 by Subramanian, Rajaraman Santhanam, Saravanan KP, and Thiyagarajan T, Chargebee is a revenue management platform designed to enable SaaS businesses to automate their revenue operations.
