Special Parliament session to be held in new building from Sept 19 | India News – Times of India

NEW DELHI: The special session of Parliament will start in the old building on September 18 and will be later moved to the new building on September 19 on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi.
The Centre has called for a special session of Parliament for five days between September 18 and 22.
Earlier Parliamentary affairs minister Pralhad Joshi said in a tweet said that the session is being organised to pay tribute to government’s Amrit Kaal.
“Special Session of Parliament (13th Session of 17th Lok Sabha and 261st Session of Rajya Sabha) is being called from 18th to 22nd September having five sittings. Amid Amrit Kaal looking forward to having fruitful discussions and debate in Parliament,” he said on X, formerly known as Twitter.
The government aims to hold fruitful discussions and debate in the upcoming session of the Parliament.
The monsoon session of parliament, which concluded last month, was held in the old Parliament building.
